OMIRI by Vasco Ribeiro Casais, is returning to the albums after seven years without recording. The official launch will take place on April 21st in the theater of Light, at 10pm.
"Baile Electrónico" is the new album by OMRI, it is a mature project, consolidated in a journey that has been made in live shows with a strong audiovisual component.
The album features the participation of two invited guests, the first of which is rapper Capicua, with the theme "País Colmeia", the first single from "Baile Electrónico", which through its intervention letter and social critique refers us to the country deferred mainly because of economic issues.
And also has Celina da Piedade who gave us the "Primavera", which was third in the Song Festival of 2017 and also participates in this album with the theme "Fields in Flower" by the same author.
In addition to the instruments previously used in other musical works such as Nyckelharpa, Portuguese bagpipes or bouzouki, Vasco Ribeiro Casais widened the range of traditional Portuguese instruments by adding the cavaquinho and the braguesa guitar. All the electronic component is made through the manipulation of collections made mostly by Tiago Pereira which gives every record a more vivid and organic sound. In addition, he uses of small samples transformed into rhythmic loops, whole melodic phrases of Portuguese oral tradition icons such as Adélia Garcia, Tia Adorinha, Margarida Fidalgo Magalhães and many others.
