Your work has a message for the general public. Do you want to shocks them, make them think it thru?
A: As I said before, more than make people think, to question which they come from and what they feel. In my work I try to wake up people, as more and more we are absorbed by the consumer society and fear.
How do you choose the type of urban intervention you do? First appears the idea or you have this perception when you find that space, this area and then you have the notion?
A: It has two sides. May appear in news, you need an intervention because it is so ridiculous, or the space can "talk" and ask to be modified. The space is public and sometimes with so many rules, it seems private. If you do not use it, will no longer serve us.
You use various media and everyday objects such as computers for example. Ever wanted to use them on other platforms, for example, a show or an exhibition?
A: Have thought about but have not yet provided for that. Either way, anything goes.
Your anonymity is very important why? You do not sign the work. Are you afraid that people judge you?
A: Anonymity is important to be able to have some margin, if you will to somehow if I want to do something more extreme. In addition, my name does not matter for anything but the message I'm trying to pass. I am not afraid and does not interest me if people judge me. Society has this problem, focuses more on the messenger than the message.
The word is your preferred vehicle to create a message? Have you thought of using others?
A: The word is a means, but the public space is the preferred location.
What inspires you? And who are the references that influences you to do this work?
A: I get my inspiration in Portugal and in society. If you have some reference point in the middle, the British artist Banksy but nowadays, any artist who works in the street. The control and repression are increasingly common, and any artist who works with it is inspiring.
For how many years have you been doing this and how it all began?
A: I think it started about seven years ago, after discovering that the graffiti has various aspects and that this could be more fun and intervening.
