Collider

It is the first feature Portuguese film of science fiction.

Collider is a national production, incidentally, is the first Portuguese -length science fiction that attempts to reach new markets; hence the team of actors is multinational. There are Portuguese, Irish and American artists, a production across borders, a partnership between Portugal and Ireland, which arises from an original idea and script of Nuno Bernardo, who was the driving force behind this project. Collider is a complete universe since applications for the Web, games and micro-episodes that make up this fantastic world , the stories that appear in comics provide the characters and the plot to the film , however, is not an adaptation , let's just say that the graphic novel is the pre - sequel to the feature film. Confused? Well, I will explain it, the film begins at the end of the graphic novel, if you didn't read it you won't be disappointed, I assure you the story is exciting and easily six characters contextualize the previous events that transported them to a hotel in Geneva. Although the script seems to have many loopholes, too many unanswered questions, I do not think the writer had " forgotten " to enlighten the viewer, I am convinced that these " failures " (and I will not say which you will have to find them out), arise because the aim of Nuno Bernardo is that after viewing the movie, you go and explore the universe Collider in search of the answers to your questions. What I suggest is to enjoy the film without preconceptions , however there are two details that left me a little disappointed, first the monsters that never appear , not even once , and I was counting on that, wanted to at least get one of those monumental scares I came out of the movie theater empty handed . They promise a lot on the posters and then nothing. It isn't fair. The second , the happy ending is abrupt and unexpected , was not expecting that everyone survived that way ... and I say no more . Go see ! Have a nice movie night.
