The polar star district

Written by

It is a novel by Francisco Moita Flores.

It is a raw story of a reality that we keep tucked away on the fringes of our daily country of gentle manners, which ultimately we are not; it is life in razor's edge of the Polar Star district, in Lisbon. I do not feel comfortable saying that this is a detective novel, because it is not, is a more the style of a villain gender, after all, they are the main characters of this book, Diana's gang. I like unabashedly writing of Francisco Moita Flores, in linguistic terms, the slang that he uses often, which puts us right in the center of this underworld made of complicity built at the expense of human misery. I also appreciate the way that through the dialogues the writer gradually builds the portrait of these young people led by a woman, also something very unusual in the genre. The adaptation of this book is in cinema theaters , but I always prefer to read first and then watch the movie and have the usual disappointments , although in this case it is almost hard this will happen due to the nature of the writing itself , which leads us to an almost cinematic script because it is so visual. I leave the end to you, read it or watch it in the cinema; after all we are also a world of fables. Have a nice read.
