Senza presents mixture

Written by

SENZA, a group of artists composed by Catarina Duarte and Nuno Caldeira of lusophony-fusion music, presents their new album, "Antes da Monção" on May 4th. "Mistura" is the first song to be unveiled from this new album by group that comes to stores next week.

In order to perceive the sonority of SENZA we must return to its origins. The group is on a 3-month trip to Asia to countries such as China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. It is the spirit of adventure and discovery that guides the sound of SENZA, because it is also from these experiences that later find the Portuguese inherent in this project of fusion-lusófona.

What is the lusophony-fusion of SENZA? In the sonority of the songs it is possible to recognize the encounter of musical styles and sounds of the different countries of Portuguese Language. The presence of musical influences from Portugal, Brazil, Cabo Verde and other countries of Portuguese Official Language makes SENZA a unifying product of Lusophony.

"Before Monsoon" is the second album of the group, inspired by a trip to India, and promises to inspire the audience with new stories portrayed in their songs. It is another connection between the lusophone world and another culture so disparate and exotic.

The album is released on May 4th, next Friday and has as guests: Júlio Pereira, Rão Kyao and João Frade. "Before Monção" is released while the group is on a tour in Africa to promote their music and, by extension, Portuguese music in countries such as Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

"Mistura" is the single that accompanies the release of the new album of SENZA and counts with the collaboration of Júlio Pereira. The tape was made by CASOTA Collective.
