Rita Ribeiro is one of the most acclaimed actresses of the national scene. She is courageous , fearless and bold, and the proof is in the play "Gisberta". A new challenge that confirms her great talent and her multiple valences as an actress with an already long and remarkable career in showbiz .
You said on more than one occasion that he devoted much of his life to the theater and less to your private life , somehow regret not having followed your family?
Rita Ribeiro : No, I'm not regretting anything .
But in what this new phase contributes to your spiritual life?
RR : It's a phase that has been around for a long time. Has nearly 20 years since my 40 years old, I already have 58 , because life is spiritual and I only had an awareness of it from a certain point in my life . I was a Grandmother very early at age 39 and that's when I realized that just before was a kid , I also lost my father at that time and all that was very strong . When you lose a parent is itself far from childhood , the same time I was already a grandmother. That was very important , not because I thought that lost time, that was not it, was the intention of recovering that same time. I did theater for twenty two years in a row, every night and I liked to have had more children, having lived longer. Who makes theater lives around it , almost one sleeps and rests to do theater at night . Life becomes different.
So I spoke in repentance .
RR : No, there is no repentance . I like to live , I suddenly thought : all this time has passed and I just did this, is not repentance , is an observation , is aware of ... And then I tried and tried to cringe my way back to the beginning . At that time , had been working for over 20 years with Filipe La Feria , it was also part of this change in my life. Then I become a mother again, after been grandmother and them I stop for one year without doing theater . I dedicated myself to my youngest daughter , because I try that theater is not a passion , I do not want to be dependent on it, or anything . I like to be a free and independent person . I think that the passions are addictive , so for example, this project for me , let me time to breathe , I'm in Madeira 4 days and then I go to the Azores . Gives time for a private life . I am the daughter of actors , my mother who is still alive , was always dependent on the theater, her happiness depended on whether there was a show or not. That gave me an example of a very large living , but there is more things other than that , for example , our personal life and life itself has much more lovely things to enjoy , so it made me wake up to other realities . I started to have another perception , but I'm not regretting having done nothing I've done . None. None what so ever. Maybe if I went back would do the same thing , was above all a growth process . It is a path that had to be done . I like doing roaming, I've got a gipsy soul , to have the house on the back , making theater here and there , seeing other people , other places and other publics. Each place has different characteristics and it helps us to open our horizons.
It is a program of channel SIC conducted by journalist Conceição Lino.
I like the way the host, in this case Conceição Lino, leads this SIC format of the afternoons. While acknowledging that must have been difficult to overcome the aura left by Fatima Lopes (one of the most beloved names of this private channel the meanwhile moved to competition) is the fact that this excellent professional communication does not leave her credits in others hands and printed her own style to the program. Was not something immediate I recall a certain initial maladjustment behavior, her almost innate neutral posture that was essential in terms of newsroom that had to be ignored altogether in entertainment programs, and that dissipated over time leading to one of the most beautiful smiles on television. I especially like the new line that is to invite known and less known people from SIC to display their skills in the kitchen . It is a relaxed unpretentious and fun conversation with not just revolve around food . I may not be one of the most assiduous TV viewers, but I can guarantee that when I am, I am always attentive to detail and I can say that even with the most unexpected mishaps, like when a guest had a stroke live on the show, the afternoons with Conceição Lino is a television format with quality without being too sappy.

I decided to show some of coordinated for this autumn- winter. A sort of rainbow of warm hues that will catch your eye. Directly from the catwalks of the Portugal Fashion for you.
It's a very uncolorful season regarding the collections of Portuguese fashion designers; however I leave some suggestions more colorful, especially wishing to enliven your imagination and your wardrobe for the winter.
The designers Manuel Alves and Manuel Goncalves warmed the catwalks with its bright red in various clothes of their collection. There was as always great care in the choice of materials, as it had a strong focus on innovative fabrics and patterns as indeed as it is their prerogative luxurious finish.

Teresa Abrunhosa presented several coordinated for this winter in Bordeaux shades. This young designer presented a very feminine and ultra - stylized collection, it reminded me of some of the garments of Fatima Lopes at almost surgical cut of some coordinated.

A novel by Dulce Maria Cardoso.
It is a written in cascade, as if the words were in constant motion, is mainly because of the narrative style that has no paragraphs. Dulce Maria Cardoso does not intend in any way to copy the style of José Saramago , that's not it , there is punctuation, what is innovative is the way she presents Violet , the main character in its ongoing unrest , which is reflected in the way she writes each sentence , where nothing is what it seems. The narrative is a stream of events that culminate in an almost irrevocable non-final, if one can call it like that, it is so unusual. Before you start reading urge you to get rid of all your prejudices concerning reading, yes that's right , the way you think a book , how do you expect the plot to develop over several pages in several chapters and all well compartmentalized with a fitting end, has nothing to do it. This novel is simply baffling and is not for the fainted of heart. It is not a difficult read; it requires certain persistence, a taste beyond the rational for words and strong emotions. It is a book in the style of Dulce Maria, that's how I define it. Could have chosen another suggestion, but anyway, I appreciate "my condolences "by the tears of genius. It's one of those it hurts, it makes you think and question everything. And I thought that everything had already been written. Nothing could be more wrong. I'm Glad. Good reading .

Seeing "Naifa" live raises a series of indescribable emotions. It's one of those memorable concerts that refer to a whirlwind of emotions that transport us to different moods. It's an experience you will never forget not only the quality of the musical repertoire, as well as the stage presence of the band. The same can be said of the conversation with Mitó and Luis Varatojo, where we spoke of music of course and the new album that will be released on November 4th. Come and discover the news.
From 2008 until 2012 you waited some time until launch "do not lay with me obedient coats"?
Luis Varatojo: It's a situation that turned out to have an important reason, it died a member of the band, John Aguardela, after that we did not know if we should continue with the project or not and we had some time to think about it, we stopped it. However , in 2010 we made a book with pictures of live concerts , was a DVD a way of balance of those years and that was when we decided to proceed to the construction of that album , which came out in 2012.
This last record was a way to break with the past or not? Since one of the iconic members of the band had disappeared.
LV: No, the idea was to keep the group's route, knowing that John was not with us, but imagining what it could be like. We imagined what it would be one of the paths that we could use? That's what motivated the construction of the album. Knowing what he had done back and giving it a follow up , knowing that he was not here, but thinking , if he was here how could he help? And this was one of those hypotheses. Maybe there would be others, but that's what came out, there was no intention to break with what was behind, and was something very natural.
The "Naifa "is very careful in terms of choice of lyrics. Always choosing authors, writers and poets very different in terms of writing.
Mitó: Yes, they are very different, but there's something that links them is the contemporary. They are all still alive, unfortunately the author of the songs on this third album not because it was John Aguardela, who died. But they can be very similar, are authors who are writing now while we are making music. We felt it was consistent that marriage between us, we are children of the late twentieth century and early twenty-first. We still have in our imaginary the roots of the Portuguese culture, but in a bad way contaminated with everything that came out of this period, the Anglo - Saxon music. This is the music we make of Portuguese roots, so it was logical that the persons who wrote for us, though nobody actually writes we "steal " the poems from books , are also children of this generation. The use of poems, or literature, for us is very natural. We are all poetry suckers, I 'm singing, so I prefer more structure things and that gives me the opportunity to do a good interpretation.
LV: Basically we read the poems and it touch us or not. If you touch us, may have a certain capacity, a certain probability of becoming a song. When we choose the poems is a wet papers and more than half is left out, because we ended up been unable to make music with it. But, in the first instance is this touching us or not? It is a language, is a subject that tells us a lot about our day- to-day is something that hits us in the soul, which has an effect, or we feel like saying and then choose. The second phase is whether it is possible to involve them with music and it happens often, many are able to set to music. The key is to tell us something, a story, an action that can feel, is as if we were writing, and are their words in our mouth.
What kind of words cannot become music?
LV: There are many factors; we've done many songs with poems that do not rhyme. This is a handicap for any song of popular music, usually the more the rhyming faster it gets to be song, in the fado everything always rhyme. Here we thought it was one of the major challenges, first we liked, ok, this is what matters, and then we'll see what we can do. Over the 3 CD there are a lot of songs that do not rhyme; often we are looking for the tunes that make them sound good. This is the most important thing, what the text says. Sometimes, even with all this musical experience cannot create melodies that do justice to the poem, or find fruition for them. This is normal in composition work, some projects

Miguel Ribeiro debuted as director of a short film about the waves of the island of Madeira. A film that was his final project in a media course.
What inspired this film?
Miguel Ribeiro: It started because we have big waves in Madeira, it is a very good passing point and it was not publicized and begins to be, but the purpose it was to disclosed it. Show all types of waves from beginners up to professionals in this area and so the film.
It is a documentary that addresses the opinions of many surfers in the region?
MR: No, I spoke with one who was regional champion in 2007 Yannick D' Oliveira, who participated in national and world championships. It is a person who knows the island, he is been surfing since childhood and it is my friend. We recorded images of him surfing and there was still room for an interview about Madeira in terms of surfing. It was a plus for my project because he had a large experience.
You mentioned that videotaped in the water, what are the challenges of this type of shooting?
MR: The challenges of shooting on the water in the first place are to have a vast knowledge of the sea, I do bodybord in Madeira where there are very strong currents and we have to take some care. Then you need a good preparation and it is essential a personal liking.
It was necessary to take into account a certain time to be able to shoot?
MR: Yes, usually we waited for the low tide for practicing the sport. It is when you have less water in the background and the waves are tubular. We use those times. Then also depends on whether the tide is in the morning or evening, sometimes I got to surf at Paul do Mar after the 20 hours until the 22hours.

It was founded in October 2010, and is primarily a concept, a way of living and thinking furniture, spaces and environments; Tiago Rodrigues spoke about brand present in the ideal house in FIL Lisbon, from 11th to 16th of October.
How the project does appear?
Tiago Rodrigues: The project arises, because we were looking for pieces for a work of interior design and not find them in the Portuguese market. No piece matched our expectations hence the idea to put together a brand, that is more than that is a concept where we try to gather one piece sets of various original , varied that reflect our life style.
So what is this life style that sets in your brand?
TR: The idea is to always have pieces that have a story to tell, they have a life path and some symbolism, soulful pieces. You assign them a new life form, or color, or put them in a given space where we have created a concept around that same piece. It has mainly to do with stories.
Before you mentioned had some trouble finding pieces, objects in the domestic market, then what those shortcomings?
TR: The shortcomings were primarily denoting a good quality-price ratio in several pieces at furniture and decor. When we found a piece that were too expensive, or to cheap and we also did not wanted them. There was none particular detail we sought, or was out of tune.
As designers you felt some difficulty in presenting your original pieces to find the right partner?
TR: Yes, we have faced many difficulties at that level. Larger companies only want to produce on a large scale, which for us is a contradiction, we want objects in low range and then there were companies that imposed limitations, because they wanted to do it their way and we had a brand and wanted to preserve our vision and quality. Sometimes was difficult to find the right partner who provided us the things as we idealized and design it.

It is a webpage that allows you to obtain data about the pollution of the oceans.
Ever wondered where does go the plastic that you lay the sea? Seems disappears, right? Wrong! It is dragged by the ocean currents, imagine, how far? Into Central America, Mexico and astonishingly the north of Galicia. It is true. Each time a Portuguese throws a bag or a bottle, or any other object of plastic to the ocean, the South Americans and Galician's are finding our garbage in their coastal areas. How? Through Adrift.au, this allows you in a few seconds to find out where goes all the debris. It is an amusing and very simple webpage to use, which was inspired by a research on ocean circulation by scientist Erik Van Sebille and his delightful book "Moby Duck ". In this site you can explore were all kind of objects drift across the ocean, with the help of rubber duckies, and where each of them may end up from the sea to your beach. Adrift uses a scientific method that is based on the observation of tracks through the oceanic buoys of the Program Global Drifter and other scientific research in this field. In this site you can see how far the debris traveled thru the ocean after the Fukushima disaster, for example, or even where does come from some of the plastic washed ashore on the beaches in Portugal. Another of the curious features of this site indicates it is the "journey " of that same garbage at sea over a maximum period of 10 years, however , there are zones of the planet where you cannot track the debris, due to lack of rigorous scientific data on this matter in those same areas. Go, test it and see the effect of one small gesture that can easily be avoided, its impact on the global marine ecosystem. Makes you think.
For more information on this topic, just put the yellow duckling at a sea closest to you, not on earth and he will read through the website I made available at the end of this word.

Carlos Sá is the most renowned ultra runner of the national scene. A sporting career that although triggered very early, at the age of 12, on regional roads and tracks, curiously never reached the marathon. Years later in 2010, after almost a decade devoted to mountaineering, he decides to run his first 100km ultra marathon in Spain, which he ends up winning. Four months later he won another 160km race in France, and since then he has never stopped. This year, he added to his brilliant history, the trophy of one of the toughest tests around the world, the famous "Badwater", USA.
What is an ultra runner?
Carlos Sá: It is an athlete who travels distances above the typical marathon which is 3.195 meters. An ultra runner travels long distances which are divided into several sections. The ultra trail in which you run in a natural environment, but can also be done in a road, as in the case of "Badwater" which is a test in the U.S., of 217km nonstop running.
How does an athlete prepare for this kind of event? What is your daily workout?
CS: We have to train for many hours, more than an athlete who is dedicated to shorter distances. Training physically but also psychologically, as we run for more than 24 consecutive hours, and must be endowed with a higher than normal will to achieve.
Is this event in particular a 24 hour event, without rest?
CS: This Death Valley event in the USA was a 217km non-stop event. I won the race, travelling this distance in 24 hours and 38 minutes. The longest numbers of hours I have been running were 26 hours and 40 minutes and I won that race too. Now, imagine the last ranked athlete who takes twice as long. There is a load managing all of this, the whole physical effort that has to be worked within this genre.
What is the importance of a test as the "Badwater"?
CS: The "Badwater" is one of the most extreme events on earth. It takes place around 855 meters below sea level, is where one of the highest temperatures on our planet is measured. I had to cross it with temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius. What is an ultra runner looking for by putting himself in a situation like that? I often say that I'm looking for my limits, only I haven't discovered them yet. It is this desire that must overcome in my activities. This can be explained to the general population as a relentless desire to want to better themselves in their own day-to-day things that are not going well, as in employment or education. So, we should give a lot more of ourselves to achieve our goals. In the ultra marathon we look for this, always trying to go further. If we can run 100 km without stopping, why not run 130 or 200 km and overcome ourselves? This requires a lot of training, eagerness and will power. These are values that are reflected in our mind and in our humility as runners.

It's a new trend roaming the city streets.
It's one of those outfits that immediately transport us to the years of rebellious, unbridled and carefree youth. I fondly recall the posters of rock idols, hung on closet doors or on walls, which we admired with great affection and devotion, exacerbated to the point of imitating some of the garments that made the bold looks of our preferred singers or bands. It is with great nostalgia that I remember the madness that preceded the concert, the long queues at the venues, the hours devoted to explaining to each other our tribute in the form of clothing, the screams, the laughter of excitement, and now I am delighted when I see the same behavior in younger generations. Fortunately there are things that never change! Who does not remember the beautiful costumes of Freddy Mercury? Or the more casual look of Xutos e Pontapes? And the queen of pop Madonna? Well, because fashion is like the seasons of the year, cyclical, the new rocker look assaults the city streets and is more vibrant than ever. From the torn jeans, down to the leather glued to the body, printed shirts, leather coats with tacks or pins, the dark sunglasses and scarves, are all remixed and the result is the rocker of the new millennium, with a more stylized silhouette than in previous versions, but referring to the same juvenile delusions of other times.
